Supplies needed to make distance sensor and LED box that goes off when you're pass a certain distance?
I have a daughter and I would like to have a sensor that goes on her doll, and a device that gives off a LED light when she is pass that distance. The box doesn't have to be small , but the size of a car alarm device on a set of car keys, would be perfect. When my daughter stays within a certain distance, 100 or 200 yds the light will stay off, but if she strays away from that, the light will go off. I would appreciate your help in creating this wonderful deterent

Putting a sensor into a doll instead of trying to strap it onto a restless kid is a neat idea.
My guess is that the best all-around sensor for you would be the GPS. One GPS receiver will be on your daughter. It will be equipped with a transmitter, that will be sending the coordinates to you. You’ll have another GPS receiver. Having her coordinates and your own coordinates, you can calculate the distance.
You can get GPS receiver modules that are quite compact: 1” x 1” x 0.4” plus antenna, which has about the same dimensions. You can get credit card size transmitters that can go 200 yards. You can get thumbnail size Bluetooth transmitter that can go 100 yards. I bet, these days you can buy a whole package that consists of a GPS with transmitter.
