how do i go about selling my photos to a postcard company?
i was on vacation and i took some great photos of a wild fox. my dad and some other relatives agreed that they should be on postcards. i thought that this was a great idea, hey, maybe i could get my foot in the door to photography (this is what i aspire to do) and maybe make some money while i'm at it, as i am a Young Girl who loves cameras. i was just wondering exactly how to go about it. any help would be appriciated!
thanks!
go to the area you wish to sell your images, walk into a place that sells postcards, look at the back of the postcards and find out who is printing them. look up who is printing them and call them. your images better be razor sharp and have great IQ. i can tell you if you get $100 for basically giving unlimited copyrights, you will be doing well. chances are they have already seen some version of your images, and if not, they'll go to a stock website and find them there.
our friend who did this with his excellent images (4x5) to "get his name out there" has kicked himself ever since. the only upside is he can go to the souvenir place and buy a pack of postcards with his images on it super cheap, stick them on a mat and sell it for $30 at an art fair. otherwise, he hates everything else about it.

US $9.99
