Misssy Elliot is just the best!!
I can't speak for the ones on your list I'm not familiar with, but as for the ones I AM familiar with....
The Sex Pistols - Yes, mostly because they made it big while flagrantly breaking every rule in the book on the way!
Led Zeppelin - Absolutely! Many a stress-filled day has been ended with them helping me unwind and relax.
Anthrax - Yes, because they ARE the law!
Rage Against the Machine - I agree with their message but it gets a little TOO repetitious after a while.
Nirvana - Sometimes....have to be in the mood for them. Kurt's voice gets on my nerves after a while.
Black Sabbath - Very much so, even a lot of the stuff they did without Ozzy, such as the De humanizer album and Headless Cross.
No Doubt/Gwen Stefani - Not really. First song I ever heard from them was "I'm Just a Girl" which I thought sounded like a man-bashing cop-out. Thanks, but no thanks!
Janis Joplin - I like her songs, but only if someone else is singing them. To me, her voice was always the audio equivalent of scraping my face on the pavement.
Jimi Hendrix - Liked him a lot, though maybe not to the extreme that some hardcore fans do.
Fleetwood Mac - I enjoy their stuff, but maybe not quite to the point where I would buy any CDs, mainly because they still get a lot of airplay making it kind of pointless to own any.
Pink Floyd - Helped me through some dark times in life, so definitely yes. I do own a few of their CDs, but for the most part, the Fleetwood Mac airplay rule applies to these guys as well.
Marylin Manson - Only in small doses. The guy's got his thing, and he's not bad at it, but Alice Cooper did it better.
System of a Down - Very much so, mostly because they introduced the freshest new sound to come out in years!
Blink 182/Sum 41/Good Charlotte - All have very enjoyable songs to their credits, but honestly, if you took their songs and played them to someone who had never heard any of them, they'd probably think they were all the same band. I like them but they lose originality points.
The Beatles - Love them! Everything anybody's trying to do with music today they already did!
